Volks, I've been off the list for about a year due to the WB having head problems. I've also just totalled my 98 Beetle with a TDI and five speed. Has anyone successfully transplanted one into the rear of a Vanagon? I need to respond to the insurance company soon if I want to buy the carcass for salvage. Any advice appreciated. PS NB is a very safe car. I missed a turn in the rain at 75 mph, went over the concrete barrier, and rolled down a bank onto some railroad tracks. Car is history, but I was unhurt. It rolled somewhat like a jelly bean. TIA Fred 98 Beetle (dead) 89 Westy (comatose) 78 Rabbit Diesel C (primo) |
