Is there a correct sequence for bleeding the brakes ('88 Westy)? Continuing to fully inspect my new '88 (automatic), the brake fluid is dark, smelly and over the max line. I was not amused to read on one of the few service invoices, in reference to the brake fluid, the mechanics comment, "looks good"! He replaced the pads and charged $55, just for the parts. This was 3 years and 7,000 miles ago. Brakes work fine, but flush and bleed will be at the top of the "to-do" list. Jerry |
