While it's true that a 2 person bench from "Any" passenger vanagon will fit ... some of them do NOT have folding seat backs and make access to the rear seat in a westy next to impossible due to the middle seat having to be so near the sliding door (westy kitchen cabinets cause this).

I used the middle seat from my '84 7 passenger (which doesn't fold) in my Westy a few times before I got the one with folding backs. It almost has to be used in the rear facing position.
