Subject: Clutch Master Cylinder Removal? Plus Weight Add-On
Content-Type: text/plain; charset="iso-8859-1"

Well if it's not one thing it is another.

Seems my clutch master on my 86 Vanagon is leaking like a sieve. I have a spare on my 84, which I assume will fit. I cannot by looking at it see a simple way to get it off. Before I mess with it and get in a pickle like I did with my bad gas situation which lead to hydro-statically seizing the engine, I thought I would get some pointers from the list.

Oh thanks for the answers on the weight capacity question. Seemed to spark a good little debate as well. Enjoyed that. As a final story for weight - not even thinking about capacity, years ago I drove from New York (Kennedy Airport) to Phila. with 6 - 200 lb plus Rugby players with full luggage. They were coming off a Tour of Ireland and made me stop for added cases of beer. I go almost 300 lbs so I must have had 1,800 lbs in it. Drove fine, as far as I could tell.

Thanks As Always

Kurt Grotz
