The metal clip inside your seal is rusting out. There may be some adhesive residue as well, if a previous owner tried to rig it by glueing it back in.

The best solution is to replace it with our improved seal, which uses a no-rust aluminum clip. This will avoid having to put glue on your poptop, and is a one-time permanent fix.
