If yours is the same as mine - a locking "plug" underneath the door - you can disassemble it and take the tumblers out of the lock and then use any standard small key - I have three from different things that will all turn the lock. Yeah, its not secure, but I don't *think* I have any sworn enemies out there...

Hi,

When I bought my 1980 Vanagon the previous owner didn't have the key for the water tank lock hook up. Are there replacements available anywhere? I wasn't sure if they used a standard key for all of these that would be universal on all Vanagons. It is in fact a key, not one of the ones with the little metal tab type key. Thanks
