I also replaced my weathered, cracked oem mirrors and after taking the new one's off 4 times to tighten them (with no effect) I finally put the oem's back on. They're so corroded that the adjustment nut stays put. I've been "shopping" here for the adjustable/electric one's for a year with no luck yet. I won't electrocute them, just put 'em on and ramble down the road stylin', and with fixed mirrors that don't need adjusting after dealing with semi's nearby. bob
