Warren: I agree. The old Craftsman wrenches I bought in the 60's are still nearly perfect and functional. (Those that haven't been filched by treacherous persons.) The newer ones are fatter and not as strong. I've fallen out of love with Craftsman and Sears in general. It was undoubtedly hastened by their hiring of that professional sap, Bob Vila. Wherever you go, professional mechanics use Snap-on, Mac, and Matco. Wherever I am in a critical situation, like stripping a 6-point or triple square CV joint bolt, or my knuckles are in the line of danger, I feel it's worth the extra $5-10 each wrench cost, to avoid having to deal with the consequences of failure. I don't have complete Snap-on sets, just buy them as I need them. I'm almos ashamed to admit that I bought a Husky 3/8" drive click type torque wrench a few years back from Home Depot, and it works great. No other Husky product has been okay, though, I returned every other one! Al Brase Warren Lail wrote: >Most Craftsman hand tools do carry a lifetime warranty, but some do not.
