That's odd... In both my Vanagons, including the one where I replaced the right-side mirror with a BD OEM mirror, the right-side mirrors have ALWAYS "self-adjusted" while the left-side mirrors have been just fine. In fact, many of the Vanagons I see on the road show this same situation; left mirror OK, right-side mirror obviously out of kilter. I've always wondered if there is some physical explaination (e.g., precession induced by a rotating load, which dictates the use of left-hand threads in some situations) of why this patter should occur, but I've never come up with one. --------------------------------------------------- Tom Young Lafayette, CA 94549 --------------------------------------------------- ----- Original Message ----- From: "Karl Wolz" <wolzphoto@WORLDNET.ATT.NET> To: <vanagon@GERRY.VANAGON.COM> Sent: Tuesday, November 23, 2004 8:25 AM Subject: Re: Re; Permanent Door Mirror Repair
