Maggie, Just curious. Is your safety concern for the aluminum expresso maker because of mechanical weakness or the possible dissolving of the metal into the coffee solution? I've used a small aluminum model for backpacking without failure but can't comment on the other concern (probably way too late for me anyhow). //Jack
