I'll second you on this! It was my then girlfriend, now wife's idea to purchase our 87 Syncro Westy. Diana and her first husband bought one in `92, but she left it behind during the divorce. We started shopping for our van two years ago, and settled on one in California in July of 2003. We prefer traveling the back roads and camping in remote places over high priced hotels and crowds. I can spend all day working on the van if I need to and she will not only not complain, but will even encourage it as she knows that my efforts make it possible for us to travel in Westy style and comfort.
