Anybody in NZ, Australia, England, South Africa want to report that the right mirror never moves, but the left one does? ;-) Richard A Jones Boulder, Colorado
Yes Richard, I'll vouch for that :-) Generally I never have a problem with the mirrors moving of their own accord however... Occasionally some PITA knocks the mirror (and yes it is always the left one) and it requires re-setting. Of course I never notice that until I have started moving and inevitably have to finish the trip blind on that side. Then I re-set the mirror but that knock by the aforementioned PITA always means that the mirror tends to then fold in during subsequent travels. I re-set it again...it moves... so I take the whole assembly off the door, tighten the 10mm nut and all is well again....until the next @#*%head comes along and naturally, bumps the LH mirror again... So yes, your theory holds up... Steve O NSW Australia '92 Transporter WBX Kombi '00 Transporter Double Cab '03 Transporter Double Cab (work truck) '78 Landrover Series 3 Soft top ute (ex-Aust Army) |
