actually i, personally, was the former owner of Jesse's '89 Carat.   and i
took very good care of it, and can vouch for its condition.   i sold it a few
yrs ago to another listmember from philly (Sam) who also was into vanagons (he
had 2) and it had no rust issues so i know its in nice shape. and then Sam sold
it to JJ (Jesse).  The van has been owned by three listmembers thus far, and
that alone should be brownie points there in favor of its condition..   it was
a sweet van, and i miss it..JJ put alot of time and money into it, fixing all
the little mechanical things, new engine etc...and  i wouldnt hesitate to buy
it back, i just have 9 vanagons now (including another '89 carat , also) and
im running out of space..  LOL
JJ is an honest guy, ive never met him but have talked to him on the phone a
few times, and he is straight up guy. just describing the vehicle as it is,
and you have to appreciate his integrity.    lots of people are scammers, JJ
isnt.
i know whoever buys his carat will be happy with it, its a nice van.   i
know..because it used to be mine! :<)
