Actually, I'm pretty much with Karl on this one.  The mirrors on my '84 work
van are rock steady and have been for about 4 years now.  The only time I
have to adjust them is when I come out of the store and some fool has bumped
into one.  And yes, it's almost always the passenger side, Murphy's Law...

Well, duh. It's Murphy's law! The side you can't reach to adjust is the
side that won't stay adjusted. On mine too. A total mystery to me why
Karl's don't do this. Maybe keeps it out of the sun?
