Thanks for > the input anyway, > Take care, > Reinhard, 83 Westy, "Moose" > > Installing power mirrors on a vanagon is one of the most simple upgrades you can do. i have power mirrors installed on my 84 vanagon and i never hooked them up. and never will. even tho wiring them in is easy, i hadnt done it because i dont need to. they are easily adjustable by just carefully pushing on the mirror glass, to adjust the mirror to desired angle. they fold flat against the van if parking in cramped spaces, but the wind will never make them fold back like the manual mirrors. they look cool, and i painted them to match my van. installation was simple, you just have to drill one extra screw hole, and run a self tapping SMS in it, tho i know people who just installed them with the 2 existing screws, not drilling any holes, and they seem to be staying on fine. if anyone is interested, i have a pair of vanagon power mirrors for sale, complete with all wiring and switch. let me know
