Depending on the material and design of the seal I have seen this happen on some seals. After being heated up for a while they will expand out again. Then after cooling slowly shrink back down again. The leak will be slower at first and may only be hanging on the underside of whatever it is leaking from. Then as the leak slowly increases back to its normal leak volume and gravity takes over from whatever it was hanging on it starts to drip then. Depending on the amount of leakage this can take a while. Then you get the visible puddle on the ground.

Take some rags and cleaner and thoroughly clean the bottom and sides of the engine/transmission joint, the area around the clutch slave, and the bottom of the transmission. Check to see where the leak is coming from. Do not look with the idea that it is a certain leak. I have been fooled in the past by sneaky leaks that were very remote from where the drip was because of dirty search areas.
