i remember that old beer swilling fart from maine , who routinely had his travels in his early 60's ex-panel van rusty microbus named "old blue" chronicled in the Limbo newsletter... he had a wood burning stove in that thing.. would drive it out onto a frozen lake, and use it as a ice fishing hut.. i think it even had a hole cut in the floor for ice fishing right out the bottom.. frankly id be a tad bid scared of a red-hot cast iron stove sitting in the middle of my vanagon.. between the dangers of CO2 and the fire/melting hazard, id opt for a LP or gas heater..
