This sounds very much like a 'conversion van' unit I'm running in my 1980 TD camper.

I bought it for $35+/- from a u-pull it and I've seen many more units at the junkyards.. they bill you for 1 blower motor and 1 heater core. wiring is very simple, and I doubt it'll leak ala vanagon rear heater. it's also shorter in height then a vanagon rear heater (which fit perfectly in a beetle opposite the battery under the back seat for those beetle engine conversion minded).

it has 1 core, and 4 hook-ups. 2 for hot water heat and 2 for the AC system.

I'm currently running mine heat only, AC lines not run/connected.

it has a 2 blower squirrel cage fan, and moves anlot of air.

I thought this was a strange animal. I'll have to take a few pictures for everyone's perusal. Personally, I really liked the simplicity of this unit. It fits nicely under the rear seat/bed, but only has two outlets for cool air (and two inlets).

Cheers,
