Comments: To: Joe Lin <joeminglin@YAHOO.COM>

My '84 has manual steering and my '85 has power steering. The '84 steers almost (but not quite) as easy as the '85 when its power steering is working. If I disconnect the belt on the '85 ... it is MUCH harder to steer than the '84. The reasons are, the '84's steering wheel is larger giving more leverage and the geometry is different in the standard steering front end.

If you don't repair the power steering and run with the belt off the pump ... you will DEFINITELY develop bigger muscles.
