Been to the archive mountain and climbed it in search of exhaust system
info.  Found lots, thanks.  Just one question.  There are
recommendations out there to use a sealant on exhaust gaskets.  This
includes the exhaust gaskets between the exhaust pipes and the head??
Is the experience of the group that the metal side of the VW exhaust
gasket goes toward the head, with sealant between the head and the
metal surface of the gasket and then sealant between the exhaust
pipe/header and the other side of the gasket?  Thanks.
