Subject:      Two Types of Air-Cooled Vanagon Stock Engines?

During an on-line parts search I was asked which type of stock air-cooled
engine was in my 1980 Vanagon ... a 2.0L 1970cc H4 MFI   [CV] or a 2.0L
1970cc H4 FI (A)[CV].

Can someone please give me the lowdown as to the differences in these two
engines and how to tell which one is powering mine?
