I'm just going by the 4 requirements. The 2.2 Subi is everywhere, and parts are cheap, and they are very reliable. Have you ever tried to get a waterpump or head gasket for a WBX in BFE, let alone find someone to work on them? Don't get me wrong, I love the VW, but the WBX is not the greatest. Since this guy has any engine as an option, using a WBX is crazy IMO. It's not like it's already in there from the factory, he has a choice! I think putting any watercooled engine in an aircooled car is crazy, but i'm just trying to help the guy out with his requirements.
