The problem is that the few sellers that use that marketing banner are
appealing to a marketing group and not necessarily representing that the
product is one or the other. In a sense it is a true ad as many vanagon and
bay parts are interchangeable and many bay owners also have vanagons and
many hunters of a vanagon would probably also take a late bay as well.
My main heartburn is with the ones like the tshirt that have absolutely no
clue and violate trademarks at the same time.
There are times I have seen some parts advertised as both van and bay and
asked the seller which part in particular and have gotten knowledgable
answers.
Then again you get the ones like the tshirt. Needless to say the tshirt
kink has made my *fecal product* list
