>>I have a minor water leak coming off the lowest tip of the oil cooler. The two hoses above the oil cooler are dry to the touch and were changed approximately two years ago. The sight lines make it difficult to determine exactly where the fluid is coming from. In the past I have had to excessively (my perception) tighten the oil filter in order to avoid an oil drip at he cooler. Any information concerning this problem would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Alex>> Alex, I think the water leak is coming from your water pump. There is a small "weep hole" in the bottom of the water pump. It begins to drip when the pump is about to let go. Warm the engine to normal operating temperature, and then shut it off. Run your finger under the water pump behind the pully. That 's where the hole is and I suspect that's where your water is coming from.
