My neighbor just bought a beautiful Golf TDI. I gave him a ride to the dealer and looked it over while they explained everything to him. In the engine compartment, I quickly found: car made in Brazil engine made in Germany starter made in Japan hoses made in Spain, Hungary, Germany little gizmo made in USA I also notice that lots of parts now have only the VW symbol--not both VW and Audi as all the parts on my Vanagons have.
