In my 84 Westfaila, last summer I replaced the sun rotted dash with a nicer, newer dash, but like a dumb _ss, didn't change the VIN's in the dash. I did drill out the old one, but didn't replace the new one. Now, I've moved to California and need to register it there, but they need 2 vins--the one on the door post and somewhere else. 1. Where are other VIN's located that would match with the door post/original VIN? 2. Is there any service out there that will make a replacement VIN plate with the correct/original VIN #? |
