John you are right if we were talking about a GL or Carat/Wolfsburg rear seat. However the Westy rear seat does not have the metal pegs for the backrest to snap onto. Therefore it will fit and the only thing you will need to do to mount it is to drill a few holes for the mounting brackets and remove your rear pegs (they unscrew). Remember a standard Westy rear seat is only two seats wide so it will fit but have a gap between the seat and the wall (one person wide). If you got a seat from a Wolfsburg Westy (no cabinetry) then this would be three people wide and still not require the pegs. I actually have one of these in brown if anyone is interested. You must pick it up but I would only like $100 obo for it (hey if you come here and I like you I may even just give it to you- Richard, I am learning. You the man!). You can live with it, but and re-weld the pegs or find a folding back from a pre 86.
