well lets look at our vans this way... cause some of use Do.. in the slow lane. then again my TD w/DK tranny and 27" tires isn't all that slow.. (well hills hurt) say my TD gets 25mpg (lowest estimate) 16gals (avg full fill up) * 25mpg = 400 mile range / 60mph (avg highway hills slower, flats faster) = 6.7/10ths hours of driving time/range say a 1.9/2.1/2.0 gas engine gets 15mpg (low estimate) 16gals * 15mpg= 240 mile range / 70mph = 3.4/10ths hours driving time/range add in that in my ASI camper conversion the position of my drivers seat + kitchen cabinetry *6ft driver = 3.5 hours driving range before right leg/knee complain "are we there yet" whats all this mean?.... I dunno.. my van is better then yours.. probably not. your van is better then mine.. definately not *grin (just faster) (well some of those SVX german look porsche rimmed, theater surround sound systemed vans are likely far better then mine.) *shrugs. maybe for my syncro project someday.. dan stevens ================================================================ From: Edward Maglott <emaglott@BUNCOMBE.MAIN.NC.US> Subject: But isn't 60mph about the top speed of the van? : ) Edward At 10:23 AM 12/6/2004, you wrote: >I pretty much take the back roads and drive slow (under 60 American).
