Hey, I'm not saying that his van can't go that fast; I'm just saying that the picture he's offered as proof clearly shows a speedometer resting at ZERO mph. The needle is simply on the wrong side of the stop pin. I also find it hard to believe that anyone driving that fast would be dumb enough to try to snap a picture of his speedometer. Again, maybe he CAN push it up to those speeds, but that doesn't explain why he posted a picture of his speedo at 0 mph and captioned it: "Ever see a Vanagon speedo go all the way around back to the peg? (I took out my odo reset button). We hit the peg and it was still creeping up." John Bange '90 Vanagon "Geldsauger" |
