Subject: "83 AC Vanagon parts van in West Michigan
Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii

Hello: I cruised the U-Wrench-It (on Chicago drive, between Holland and Zeeland in Michigan) yesterday and spotted a blue Vanagon. These are not often seen at our local Pick'N Pull emporia, so I was pretty surprised. This place is an auto theme park ( they charge a buck admission, inspect your tool box for 'stuff', stamp your hand). The van is intact except for drivers door, front hubs, all exterior lighting. Engine and driveline are intact, except for distributor, I think. It actually has the engine tin in place!

I purchased the engine lid ( anyone need a metal engine lid to replace that plastic hazard you are riding with now?) Anyone know the story about this van?

There are also some Subaru 2.2 L. cars-lots of 4 cyl VW and high-end Audis. My rule of thumb for parts purchase: Buy it NOW-these cars will be crushed soon. There is a metal recycler down the road. All the scrap goes to China on a freighter before ice-up, where it will become a Harbor Freight gizmo next month. Little 'ol Holland Mich. is an international seaport.
