It APPEARS to be reading 0 mph. Take a look at it again. See that little black dot under the "0" in the 10 mph marking? That's the peg. It's very clearly on the WRONG SIDE OF THE NEEDLE to be 130 mph or anything near it.

I do commend his work, but spending time and money doesn't mean we have to believe everything he says. I can't give him a break on his post on vwvortex:

"We did a top speed run just past exit 14 on I-5. Ever see a Vanagon speedo go all the way around back to the peg? (I took out my odo reset button). We hit the peg and it was still creeping up."

The picture he posted clearly shows the speedo needle resting on the left side of the peg in the "0 mph" position. He's telling a fish story. Maybe he did have it up that fast and didn't feel comfortable snapping a pic, but the picture he does have is NOT what he describes. I'm sorry, but extraordinary claims require extraordinary proof.
