My 82 Westy has the same setup as 84 Westy, black plastic nibs for a loose curtain. Mark.

okay, i got a few responses, enough to make a conclusion.. i think Westfalia did a mid-year change in '81, going from the aluminum rod to the loose curtain with loops and nibs for the slider door curtain.. why? so people with 81.5 - 84 westys could lose/misplace their curtains perhaps? dunno.

anyway, so... '80-early 81 westy = curtains slide on aluminum curtain rod mid '81 westy to 84 westy = loose curtain with loops and nibs 85-91 westy =curtains slide in aluminum track with plastic gliders

just some more wacky trivia for y'all.
