It appears that up to the color change of the curtains from brown to blue/grey there were three curtain types with no specific years of assignment. There were different designs as well as methods of hanging. There were even behind cab curtains as well in some styles. It appears that some of it may be linked to the P number.

When the colors changed, it appears the knobs disappeared and then you picked up three different types of sliders/rails again with different styles of curtains as well.

Very strange. I can find no references to any years other than the division with the color changes. Some of the stuff is ref to models with a split at year E (84) with mid year model numbers. But again has several styles shown even for that.
