Just got off the phone with my wife, she went through a toll plaza on the 408 and couldn't get Goldibox back into gear and ended up coasting to the shoulder. She says that she can get it into first, but it won't move. It looks like AAA will be towing her home tonight; first time I have had to use AAA for Goldibox in the 4-1/2 year I have had her. I'm thinking that the clutch assembly disintegrated, it had been slipping lately even though it had less than 40k miles on it.


My wife was driving Goldibox because on Monday the starter in her Jetta had stopped working. She got a ride out to Airport parking Monday morning to get 'Goldi; she has spent most of the last three months in Airport parking @ $7.00 a day.


I managed to move my return flight to Orlando up a couple of days so I can spend my weekend getting both vehicles on the road. My Wanderlodge is still parked in front of the house so I still have one running vehicle to commute in and to chase parts with :>).


Anyone in/around Orlando this weekend that wants to help out or provide moral support, let me know; it looks like my weekend will be spent on the creeper.


At least it will be warmer in Orlando than it is here in LA, its currently 51F and rainy.
