He already did: "Actually, that isn't the speed pic but a pic of the new speedo that shows that my reset button is out, and that the needle can and has been all the way round. The other pic was just revving up the engine... lol!"

He was just doing a little chain-jerking WRT the picture (and ONLY the picture!). It was a FISH STORY. (though I don't know how a picture that shows the needle CAN go all the way around provides any proof that it HAS been all the way around; It very well could have been, but it doesn't leave a high water mark or anything; not calling him a liar, just puzzling over the logical inconsistency of his comment [shrug])

>I also know >the guys down at Matrix Engineering and they would not make stories up about >dyno numbers. > >250 hp, but is incapable of reaching a speed of around 130mph? I dont think >so.

Yeesh! Like I said, I never claimed his Vanagon couldn't go that fast; I was just pointing out that the picture he posted definitely wasn't taken while the Vanagon was going 130mph as the caption indicated! I don't doubt that he can go that fast, I mostly just doubted that he'd be crazy enough to try to snap a photo of his speedometer while doing it. Obviously, he's NOT.
