Yes, but complexity will depend on which bench you are trying to install into what.

If you are installing a Westy (rear) bench/bed from a 1986 Westy into 1983 Diesel Westy, it's a bolt on. If your 83 is not a Westy, you may need to do some drilling and or welding. If the bench/bed from the 86 is from a full-Westy vs. a Westy Weekender (w/o the real fridge), it should bolt on to the floor and sides. However, if are trying to install the Westy Weekender (not the Weekender bench from the later buses) you will need to weld or rivet the rear catch for the seat back.

Anytime you ask one of these type of questions, it is always best to identify either vehicle EXACTLY as there are too many permutations of these vans. There are enough differences that a simple "yes" just will not do.
