Chains = heavy duty Cables = light duty

Are you after just a little better traction on what is probably a snowed up paved surface or also in unimproved roads or off the road.

Cables are approved for chain laws in most states with mountain passes but double check with your state on what meets chain law and what doesnΉt. Some of the mfr sites have info.

Some states have specific laws banning chains on paved surfaces so again check your states rules.

Most cable systems are fairly easy to install in the mess. Most chain systems are not.

Chain systems very heavy Cable systems very light

I know of some people that carry both. All I have are chains.
