Botanical gardens! Yeah!

Try the Bellevue Botanic garden, small 35 ac, but really nice, http://www.bellevuebotanical.org/visitor/fmvisitor.htm

The Bloedel Reserve (www.bloedelreserve.org/) on Bainbridge Island) is awesome but you generally need an appointment. Much like an old English landscape circuit garden. Incredible moss garden, Japanese garden, views, pretty nice.

While on Bainbridge you should see Heronswood Nursery of the famous Dan Hinckley. Also call first even though it is a nursery they only like so many people at once.

Also on Bainbridge check out Lewis and Little. They are artists who's garden is really nice, and full of cool art work. http://www.littleandlewis.com/

Washington Park Arboretum associated with U of W has an incredible plant collection. I think they (the city parks dept) also have a new Chinese garden but I am not sure, maybe that's Portland

Elisabeth Carey Miller Botanical Garden in Seattle proper

Hope that helps...

Ever see the UC Santa Cruz Australian/New Zealand collection?

have fun,

peter

My wife and I will shortly be travelling from Pismo Beach to spend a few days in Seattle - we have the trip planned on the way up and back but we're not sure what to do once we get to Seattle?

Great restaurants, botanical gardens, museums, night clubs, music (not grunge though).............., any suggestions?

Thanks, Markus and Maggie and our '87 Westy.
