Subject: quiet a very noisy gauge cluster cover?
Content-Type: text/plain; charset=US-ASCII

BACKGROUND: Removed the gauge cluster cover on my 84 so as to trace the antenna wire (was replacing a broken antenna). Task completed, I replaced the cluster cover firmly and, to my eye, properly. Since then the bstd squeeks like hell with the slightest road irregularity. Especially when its chilly. Drives me up the wall. Wind up driving one handed using the other hand to apply reinforcing pressure on the plastic.

QUESTION: anyone experienced this and succesfully fixed it / have tips to improving the fit of this piece?

thanks in advance.
