My '84 did the same thing and I changed the skylight seal with an aftermarket one and it fixed the leak. What I did until I could replace the seal was park with one of the sides of the westy higher than the other to prevent the water from pooling around the skylight...or put a tarp over the roof. Make sure you clean all the old silicone off the skylight opening (I got some silicone remover in the plumbing section of my local hardware store) and then reseal everything with new silicone.
