I've always wondered if one couldn't get a two or three gauge enclosed VDO pod from The UK or where ever else they have right hand drive vehicles, and mount it in front of the rear view mirror. In theory, since the USA VDO pods angle toward the driver--or left when mounted on top of the dash, the pods from the UK would angle toward the right when mounted on top of the dash. So, when the UK pod is mounted on the ceiling (which is upside down for the pod) the gauges would angle toward the driver. I too think there is enough room in front of the mirror. Although from the website Jake referenced it seems VDO is not making the enclosed pods anymore--at least in the two or thee gauge configuration. Sorry, no answers. Just more questions.
