Hello, I am in the process of getting my 82 air cooled vanagon ready for a fresh Boston Bob rebuild. I have gone all out and I am installing 5 gauges (oil pressure, oil temp, head temp, volt, tach). I picked up a nice 3 gauge pod for the dash from egaugue http://www.egauges.com/vdo_acce.asp?Subgroup=Custom_Console&Cart and here is a picture of the console installed in a Vanagon (http://my.tbaytel.net/guskers/vanpix_files/IMGA0105.JPG) somebody posted this picture on the list a while back. Anyway, I was thinking about mounting a two gauge pod on the ceiling in front of the rear view mirror (volts and head temp). I think the rear view mirror hangs low enough that the gauges won't block it. Has anybody out there done this? I am not sure how I would mount the pod. I don't want to drill holes in the roof, so maybe double sided tape? It should be easy enough to run the wires up the window pillar and under the laminate stuff on the ceiling. Thanks, Jake
