That sounds like it is working. You will get the initial click of the fuel pump and or spark plug. (I only have the diesel timing here) you then should get ignition shown by the small initial puff of smoke out the exhaust. It should stay running after that unless it faults in which case it will wind down and shut off. A stethescope or a good ear near the unit should tell you if it is cycling. Also go to where the small dosing fuel pump is and see if it is pumping. It is a small pump only a couple inches long but you should here and audible chunk chunk noise from it. You will see that it is fully isolated with rubber. Forget that rubber and that little pump will drive you completely crazy with and extremely loud chunk chunk inside the van. The fuel pump is basically the same as the pump for the bn6 and I have used it as a sub when needed.
