Thats bogus. If I'm clear about what you are trying to rent - and that is a full blown auto-transport trailer - where you can get the van up completely off the ground and chained down to the transport trailer, then there should be no problem. I did it. Rented the auto-transport trailer and the 17 ft panel truck from U-haul. They are giving you the run-a-round.
