Early this morning I received an email from Al Brase that told me that I in fact had an 091/1 tranny. I checked the numbers and yep, it is indeed an 091/1. So, I opened it up and drained out about a half quart of MT90 (enough to get it down to about 15mm below the fill hole). Thanks Al. This afternoon, we put the tranny back in and I drove it 300 miles. Quiet and smooth. Just what the doctor ordered. Now I want to tackle the upper ball joints and stabilizer bushings. What am I in for? Warren Lail 88 Westy "Billy Bones" "'And now, sir,' continued the doctor, 'since I now know there's such a fellow in my district, you may count I'll have an eye upon you day and night. I'm not a doctor only; I'm a magistrate; and if I catch a breath of complaint against you, if it's only for a piece of incivility like tonight's, I'll take effectual means to have you hunted down and hanged like the dog you are. Now let that suffice.'" |
