Chuck, I just went to the U-Haul website (rates & reservations section) and selected a car hauler to be towed by the wife's Ford Expedition and used a 1990 Vanagon Camper as the towed vehicle. The U-Haul site stated that this "IS" a recommended towing setup. I've had this problem with U-Haul before. Needless to say, sometimes the guys working the counters are not the brightest. Perhaps you could make your reservation on-line to streamline the process? Good Luck, Jeff
