Several things will effect mileage. Driving in one: this is about 50 %
of all waste.
Vehicle condition,  tire inflation is another big one.  Wind
resistance....  I love seeing
those people  who put bug guards  on the  hood of trucks, after  GM spent
millions of dollars trying to get  a more aerodynamic vehicle.
