Some of the repros do not have the markings on the back of the pins, but others do. It's very difficult to find a real one...especially when, as I said, the VW museum sells the repro ones. From what I was told, there weren't that many original pins to begin with, and most of them went the way of most "cheap" souvenirs...it only seems that they gained "value" once the VW craze hit the us, by that time it was twenty years and a world war later.
