I recently bought a deregistered 88 Corolla Sprinter Ceilo (liftback) which has climate control. I'm thinking of stripping out the van's awful heater and splicing in the entire Corolla setup. This would give me a GOOD heater with good controls, and if I can fit the aircon radiator to the van (in the Corolla it sits directly against the front face of the engine radiator) and run the plumbing, I can have climate control.

The Corolla unit should fit OK (might have to take up the glovebox space)... main problem might be in connecting the vents up. The van's intake is central and the Corolla's is on the far left.

It has a powerful fan, unlike the VW, another bonus.

Anyone else tried fitting a different heater to their van? -- Andrew Grebneff Dunedin New Zealand Fossil preparator <andrew.grebneff@stonebow.otago.ac.nz> Seashell, Macintosh, VW/Toyota van nut
