I have been driving in two lane roads a lot at night just north of Columbus and am noticing an extreme lack of lighting. I notice it really bad with a modern vehicle bearing down on me with their nice bright headlights. Does the headlight relay kit make a huge difference or is it just little bit more illumination?

Kurt, the headlight relay kit will make a small but significant difference. If you check the voltage at your headlamps you will find that it is around 9 volts. After installing the relay kit you will find the voltage will jump up to 11.5 volts. You can then add the 100/80 watt hi/lo beam Hella bulbs and the 100 watt hi beam Hella bulbs to give you a brighter look into the night. This is not the perfect way as the DOT reflectors are all wrong and the best would be to up grade to the European H4 headlamps which will still require the relay kit. There is however a huge cost difference between the four higher wattage bulbs and the Euro H4 headlamps. See my _Vanagon Headlamp Relay Upgrade_ (http://members.aol.com/Fkc43/hdltrela.htm) for more details.
